Change DLSS (if you have it) to Performance or Ultra Performance. Along with this, try any of the following or some combination: If you’re having performance issues on PC with Hogwarts Legacy, my first bit of advice is to turn off ray-tracing which you’ll find at the very bottom of the graphics settings. I plan to go back into settings and start ticking up some of the quality settings back to Ultra and testing this out, but for a quick and easy fix, these two steps helped enormously. For more, head over to our Hogwarts Legacy guides hub.Ultimately, to get a steady framerate and no stuttering I did two things: I turned down my graphical settings across the board to High and I turned Ray-Tracing back off. Anyone with a 120hz display can achieve different results, and there, balanced is a recommended starting point. All things considered equal: Fidelity is best fir graphics since ray tracing can bog the system down, resulting in jarring frame drops and stuttering, while Performance is best for those going after silky-smooth gameplay, just at the loss of a higher resolution. The best graphics and performance settings for Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox Series X|S provide some nice options, though they aren’t as meticulous as those on PC. It can be a decent (pseudo) substitute for ray tracing if you’re truly after frames, or if you’re on Series S and don’t have access to Balanced Mode. One main advantage is that it makes the lighting appear more natural, keeping it from washing out other environmental details like windows. Though I’m not particularly a fan of HDR, I admit that the functionality makes Hogwarts Legacy look better when adjusted correctly.
